KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the Academic All-District honorees for men's soccer on Tuesday morning, with four Northwest Nazarene student-athletes receiving the accolade.
NNU is represented on the all-district team with
Lukas Juodkunaitis,
Jimmy Koufidakis,
Sawyer Price, and
Lorenzo Valentini.
Valentini earns the All-District honor for the third time in his career, and was also named an Academic All-American in each of the previous two seasons. The senior defender from Germany finished his undergrad degree in 2020 and currently holds a 3.92 GPA while finishing his Masters of Business Administration. For his efforts on the field, Valentini was also named First Team All-GNAC this season for the third time in his career.Â
Price receives All-District honors for the second time in his career, also coming in 2020. The keeper from Olympia, Wash. is a senior academically and a junior athletically, compiling a perfect 4.00 in his collegiate career to this point with a major in Sports Management. He was named to the Honorable Mention All-GNAC team for the third time this season, currently holding a 1.15 goals against average and seven shutouts.
Juodkunaitis is on the All-District team for the first time in his career. The Vilnius, Lithuania native is a junior academically and a sophomore athletically, and holds a 3.51 GPA in Global Business. He was named to the All-GNAC Second Team this year for the second season in a row, and is currently second on the team with seven goals and 18 points.
Koufidakis is on the All-District team for the first time in his career. Hailing from Mesa, Arizona, the forward is a junior academically and a sophomore athletically, holding a 3.59 GPA in Marketing. He also earned his first All-GNAC recognition this year, garnering an Honorable Mention award with five goals on the season.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
