NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer beat Montana State Billings 2-0 on Thursday night.
The Nighthawks improve to 7-2-1 overall, and 3-1-0 in the GNAC.
How it Happened
The Nighthawks had a strong first half with nine shots to the Yellowjackets' one. Although the Nighthawks seemed to be in control, the score at the end of the first half was 0-0.
The match remained scoreless until the 67
th minute when
Ethan Atterberry delivered a through ball to
Jake Levine who scored the Nighthawks' first goal.
The second goal of the match came in the 87
th minute. This time Atterberry was the one to score the goal on an assist from
Jimmy Koufidakis.
The Nighthawks were able to hold on to the 2-0 lead for the rest of the match.
