SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball falls short to The University of Utah with a final score of 119-62.
How it Happened
The Nighthawks were able to keep up with the Utes early, coming out of the first quarter with a score of 23-23. NNU was able to shoot 64.3% compared to Utah's 47.4% from the field.
Lydia Nieto led the Nighthawks with 8 points, going 3-3 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc.
The Utes started pulling away in the second quarter, though, and would lead by 16 at halftime.
The Utes kept the pressure on for the entire second half, eventually taking the 119-62 win.

- Nieto finished with 11 points, followed by 10 from Clare Eubanks
- The Nighthawks shot 34.8% from beyond the arc compared to 22.2% from Utah
- Loy Waid led NNU with four rebounds
