HONOLULU, Hawaii - Northwest Nazarene women's golf battled to an 11th-place finish out of 16 teams on Tuesday and Wednesday at the HPU Sharks Shootout.
The Nighthawks totaled a 627, just two strokes behind Sonoma State in 10th and six back of Western Washington for ninth. WWU was the top finishing GNAC team, with NNU placing ahead of Simon Fraser (12th) and Saint Martin's (14th).
Elle McCord and
Madison Gridley led the way for the Nighthawks, tying for 26th with round scores of 78-76 for 154 totals.
Christine Cho was next in a tie for 39th with a 157, followed by
Paige Vancil at 162 and
Brianna Shervik at 169.
NNU will remain in Hawaii for another invite on Friday and Saturday, heading to South Kohala for the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate.
