Nighthawks Roll Past Wolves

NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer defeated Western Oregon 3-1 at home on Thursday night.
 
How it Happened
 
The Nighthawks went on the attack early and scored first with a goal from Jimmy Koufidakis. Koufidakis' goal came on an assist from Alan Soto Ortiz to give the Nighthawks a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute of the match.
 
The Wolves were able to knot the game at 1-1 at the end of the first half.
 
In the 51st minute, Koufidakis delivered his second goal of the night, giving the Nighthawks a 2-1 edge over the Wolves. This time Koufidakis was assisted by Jonathan Cardona.
 
Sullivan Smith was able to provide the Nighthawks with some insurance in the 79th minute when he scored a goal on a header that was assisted by Raoul Barragan.
