NAMPA, Idaho – It was business as usual for Northwest Nazarene women's soccer on Saturday, shutting out Saint Martin's for a 2-0 victory.
NNU improves to 10-1-3 overall and 8-0-2 in GNAC play, running their unbeaten streak to 12 games and their shutout streak to eight matches.
How It Happened
The Nighthawks had many great chances early, including earning a corner kick on the near side in the 11
th minute.
Magda Wronski stepped up to take the corner and drilled a great ball into the box, where
Savanna Herz was there to send it in for the opening goal of the game.
Just eight minutes later, NNU executed a nearly identical goal. The Nighthawks earned another corner, on the far side this time, and it was Wronski sending it in to the head of
Makayla Roggow for the tally.
The Nighthawks would cruise from there, outshooting the Saints 21-4 (10-2 on goal) as they took the 2-0 victory.

- With the win, the Nighthawks officially clinch a postseason berth into the GNAC Championships, which will be hosted in Nampa the first weekend in November
- NNU finishes the season undefeated at home, going 8-0-1 in Nampa this year
- The Nighthawks are on a 12-game unbeaten streak, suffering their only loss of the season during the opening weekend against Holy Names in California
- NNU has not allowed a goal since Sept. 17 against Seattle Pacific, earning eight-straight shutouts and outscoring opponents 17-0 during the stretch
- The Nighthawks have nine total shutouts on the year, tying the program record for shutouts in a season
- With assists on both goals, Magda Wronski now has 21 in her career, tying the program record
