Nighthawks Defeat Saints 2-0, Record Eighth-Straight Shutout

NAMPA, Idaho – It was business as usual for Northwest Nazarene women's soccer on Saturday, shutting out Saint Martin's for a 2-0 victory.

NNU improves to 10-1-3 overall and 8-0-2 in GNAC play, running their unbeaten streak to 12 games and their shutout streak to eight matches.

How It Happened

The Nighthawks had many great chances early, including earning a corner kick on the near side in the 11th minute. Magda Wronski stepped up to take the corner and drilled a great ball into the box, where Savanna Herz was there to send it in for the opening goal of the game.

Just eight minutes later, NNU executed a nearly identical goal. The Nighthawks earned another corner, on the far side this time, and it was Wronski sending it in to the head of Makayla Roggow for the tally.

The Nighthawks would cruise from there, outshooting the Saints 21-4 (10-2 on goal) as they took the 2-0 victory.
