SALT LAKE CITY - Second-half troubles hurt Northwest Nazarene men's soccer against Humboldt State on Saturday, falling to the Jacks 4-0.
NNU battled hard in the first half, and seemed to have the advantage with seven shots to just one for HSU. However, the lone Jack shot found the back of the net to give Humboldt State a 1-0 lead at the break.
Shots were even in the second half at eight apiece, but again the Nighthawks were not able to strike gold while HSU tallied three more times.
The Nighthawks also held an advantage in corner kicks at 7-2.Â
NNU will return to Nampa to make their 2021 home debut next Thursday against Westminster at 6 PM.
