SAN FRANCISCO - Northwest Nazarene women's volleyball fell to San Francisco State in their season opener on Friday afternoon by a final of 3-1.
SFSU took the opening set 25-20, but the Nighthawks were able to fight back and win set two 25-21. The Gators proved to be too much for NNU, however, taking the next two frames 25-17 and 25-15 to win the match.
Brooke Foster led the Nighthawks with 17 kills and 12 digs, while
Natalie Sullivan added 12 kills and seven digs.
Anna Gable hit .500 on the afternoon, tallying nine kills.
Caroline McMahon led the back line with 15 digs, while
Gabriella Haws and
Mckenzie Lee shared the setting duties with 17 adn 16 assists, respectively.
NNU will look to get revenge on San Francisco State tomorrow afternoon when they square off in the rematch at 1:00 p.m. Pacific.
