The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2021 Academic All-District Teams for baseball on Thursday, and five members of Northwest Nazarene have earned the honor.
Pitchers
Kyle Ethridge and
Max Holtzclaw, catcher
Ben Johnson, first baseman
John Gonzalez, and second baseman
Colton Moore were all named to the Division II District 8 squad. With five of the 13 individuals from the District 8 (CCAA, GNAC, and PacWest conferences), NNU had the most student-athletes recognized of any program across DI, DII, DIII, and the NAIA.
The All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball and softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
