SEATTLE, Wash. - Northwest Nazarene volleyball and Seattle Pacific battled to a very close finish on Saturday, but the Nighthawks fell to the Falcons in five sets.
The fifth and final set was as close as they come, knotted at 14-apiece before SPU rallied for two-straight points to take the match.
NNU closes out the spring season with an overall record of 6-9.Â
The Nighthawks started well, taking each of the first two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-17. The Falcons bounced back, though, with victories of 25-21 and 25-22 in sets three and four to even the match at 2-2.
In set five, NNU trailed 14-11 but was able to score three in a row to tie things up at 14 before SPU came away with the win.
Brooke Foster led the team with 18 kills and added 14 digs.
Natalie Sullivan had 11 kills and
Abbey Blum 10, while
Caroline McMahon led with 20 digs.
Casey Kispert led the Nighthawks wil 21 assists, one more than
Mckenzie Lee with 20.Â
