NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene men's soccer ended their season on a high note on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Saint Martin's.
The senior day victory gives NNU a 2-1-1 mark against the Saints this year and closes out the season with a 4-2-1 overall record.
Before the game, NNU honored three graduating seniors in
Garrison Lee,
Danny Cuevas, and
Skyler Munroe.
Today's match was very different from Thursday's 4-3 loss to SMU, as goal-scoring chances were at a premium and only one was able to convert, with both teams managing just two shots on goal apiece.
NNU's lone goal came in the second half, as
Nils Knosala was able to find a cutting
Brandon Parsio, who got behind the defense and slotted the ball past the Saints keeper to make it 1-0 in the 59th minute.
Sawyer Price played all 90 minutes in goal, earning his second shutout of the year with two saves.Â
