Men's Basketball Awaits NCAA Selection Show

| By:
NAMPA, Idaho - After ending the regular season with a win over Central Washington last night, Northwest Nazarene men's basketball now awaits tonight's NCAA DII Men's Basketball Selection show to find out if they receive a bid to the NCAA postseason.

The Nighthawks were ranked fourth in the latest NCAA West Region rankings. With six teams making the postseason from the region, NNU now hopes that their resume is enough for selection to the NCAA Championships. Due to the GNAC not conducting a conference championship and therefore receiving an automatic bid, NNU's only way to get in is as an at-large bid by finishing as one of those top six teams.

NNU will find out if they are selected for the postseason tonight at 8:30 p.m. MT during the NCAA's DII Men's Basketball Selection Show. If selected, NNU will travel to Golden, Colorado next weekend, the site of the West Regional hosted by Colorado School of Mines.

The selection show will be streamed live on the NCAA's website here.

The team will also be holding a watch party tonight in Walden Hall. Due to University protocols, only NNU students, faculty, and staff will be able to attend. Face coverings are required, and social distancing protocols will also be observed.
