NABC Division II Rankings
D2SIDA Division II Poll
NAMPA, Idaho - Despite dropping two games to Seattle Pacific over the weekend, Northwest Nazarene men's basketball is still in the NABC rankings at 22nd and is just outside of the D2SIDA top-25, receiving votes to sit two spots out of the 25th position.
The Nighthawks (10-3) have now been in the NABC poll for each of the last five, and had been in the D2SIDA top-25 for five straight weeks.
After NNU was listed as 'under consideration' for the last two weeks, the NCAA will now be coming out with their first actual ranking of the top eight teams in the West Region on Wednesday. The NCAA will announce the six teams selected for the postseason from each region on Sunday, March 7.
Due to many schools and conferences opting out of the season, the regions have shifted temporarily to accommodate equal numbers in each region. NNU remains in the same region as normal, but with the CCAA opting out, the RMAC has joined the GNAC and PacWest to form the West Region.
Ezekiel Alley leads the Nighthawks through the 13 games with an average of 18.8 points per contest while also dishing out 3.6 assists per game and shooting 43.2% from deep. The senior has also claimed four GNAC Player of the Week honors this season.Â
George Reidy is next with 13.5 points per game, followed byÂ
James Nelson with 8.8 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.Â
Kobe Terashima also leads the Nighthawks with 5.0 assists per game while contributing 7.2 points per contest.
NNU travels to Central Washington this Friday and Saturday for their final two games of the regular season.
