PORTLAND, Ore. - After leading Northwest Nazarene men's basketball to an impressive win over NAIA No. 4 Lewis-Clark State on Friday,
Ezekiel Alley has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
It was a great week for NNU athletics, as the Nighthawks claimed GNAC weekly honors for men's basketball, men's cross country, and women's cross country.Â
Alley was nearly perfect to lead the Nighthawks in their 93-81 exhibition win over No. 4 (NAIA) Lewis-Clark State on Friday.
The senior finished with 27 points on 8 of 10 from the field, 4 of 4 from three-point range and 7 of 7 from the free throw line. He also finished with four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Alley is currently lead the No. 17/23 Nighthawks with 18.6 points per game, and has tallied more than 20 points in five of NNU's ten contests this year, counting last Friday's exhibition. He also claimed this years' first two GNAC weekly honors in the middle of January.
