NAMPA, Idaho - After having both of their scheduled games for this week postponed, Northwest Nazarene men's basketball has a few updates to their schedule, including a new home game this Saturday.
The Nighthawks will now face Central Washington this Saturday, Jan. 1, at 5:00 p.m. in the Johnson Sports Center. The contest was moved up from its originally scheduled date of Feb. 5, freeing up that week for potential rescheduling of other games if necessary.
NNU was supposed to host Simon Fraser today, Dec. 30, and then Western Washington on Saturday, but both games were postponed due to health and safety protocols within the other two programs. As NNU's travel partner, CWU also had their games against the same two teams postponed this week, leaving both with an open date on Saturday that led to today's schedule change.
Regarding the postponements, the Nighthawks will now play Simon Fraser on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Johnson Sports Center. NNU and WWU have also agreed to a new date to make up the January 1 contest, as the Nighthawks will now host the Vikings on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
