NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball finished the weekend off with a strong win on Saturday, defeating Westminster 61-54 to cap the 2-0 homestand.
How It Happened
- The Nighthawks and Griffins were evenly matched over the first 20 minutes, with the teams tied at 14 after the first quarter and at 33 at halftime.
- NNU's defense locked Westminster down in the third quarter, holding the Griffins to just two points on 1-11 (9%) shooting, including 0-5 from deep.
- NNU took a nine-point lead into the fourth period, holding on at the end for a seven-point win, 61-54.
