TURLOCK, Calif. – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball's fourth quarter struggles continued on Saturday, falling to Stanislaus State 76-67.
How It Happened
- NNU and Stanislaus went back and forth over the first half, with the home team taking a four-point lead into the break.
- The Nighthawks came out of the locker room strong, outscoring the Warriors 25-13 in the third quarter to go up by eight.
- Stanislaus State roared back in the fourth, however, with a 26-9 advantage in the period to pull out the victory.
Nighthawks Notes
- True freshman Ashlynn Sylve led the Nighthawks with 16 points in just her second official collegiate game.
- Erin Jenkins just missed a double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds.
- Cami Knishka and Kate Clark both had 11 points to round out the four double-digit scorers for NNU.
- Knishka and Nyalam Thabach also pulled down seven rebounds, while Jordan Pinson dished out seven assists.

NNU will head back to Nampa for their season opener next Friday, hosting West Texas A&M at 7:00 p.m. as part of the four-team NNU tournament. The Nighthawks will then face Westminster at the same time on Saturday.
