NNU Blanks Central Washington on the Road

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's soccer earned their third win in the last four games with a 1-0 defeat of Central Washington on Saturday.

How It Happened

The Nighthawks and Wildcats were locked in a scoreless battle for the first 60 minutes, with both teams getting chances but neither able to find the back of the net.
The lone goal of the match finally came in the 63^rd minute, when Kailyn LaBrosse sent a throw into the box for Ashley Parton, who tucked the ball in past the far post for the score.
NNU held on to that lead, blanking the Wildcats for the second time this season.

Nighthawks Notes

The Nighthawks improve to 6-3-2 on the year and 4-3-1 in GNAC play.
In the two shutouts of CWU this year, NNU has outscored the Wildcats 6-0.
The Nighthawks outshot the Wildcats 20-8 (10-6 on goal) and earned six corners to CWU's one.
Parton's goal was her second of the season, moving her into a tie for second on the team with five total points.
Alexis Montoya made six saves to earn the shutout, the 16^th of her career.
