ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Northwest Nazarene women's volleyball dropped a heartbreaker to No. 25 Central Washington on Friday, falling in five sets on the road.
How It Happened
- NNU jumped on CWU early to take the first set, winning a lengthy battle that went past the standard 25 points as they took the frame 28-26.
- The home team bounced back to win sets two and three, earning 25-16 and 25-21 victories.
- Set four was an entirely different story, with the Nighthawks racing out to leads of 10-4 and 16-5 before taking an easy 25-14 win to force a fifth and final set.
- Unfazed by the lopsided score in set four, CWU came back out to take the first four points of the fifth set. NNU did not go away quietly, though, fighting back to tie it at 12, but the Wildcats would prevail 15-13.
