Box Score 2 NAMPA, Idaho – The Northwest Nazarene baseball team split a wild doubleheader with Montana State Billings on Saturday.
NNU won the first game 16-9 before dropping the nightcap by the same score in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.
"We played pretty well in Game 1," NNU coach
Joe Schaefer said. "We made some adjustments offensively from yesterday. (Jesse) Hilyard threw really well as did Blake (McFadden) in Game 2."

Parker Price was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs,

Kyle Redford drove in two runs.
Hilyard got the win allowing five runs – two earned – on five hits in 6 2/3 innings.
In the nightcap, NNU scored seven runs in the first and two in the third to take a 9-0 lead but the Yellowjackets' bats were relentless, scoring the game's final 16 runs.
"We did a great job in the first inning, but failed to do much else the rest of the game," Schaefer said. "We just ran out of arms in the end."

Price was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, while

NNU (8-8 overall, 4-4 GNAC) travels to Saint Martin's for a pair of doubleheaders next weekend.
