Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team was swept by Concordia on Thursday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
The Cavaliers won 25-22, 25-18, 25-17 to send the Nighthawks to their third consecutive loss.
NNU led 20-17 in the first set before Concordia went on an 8-2 run to close it out.
"We came out and had a really good first set and we just didn't execute at the end of it," NNU coach
Doug English said. "We had a hard time stopping their offense."
Abbey Blum,
Kayla Sale and
Brooke Foster all had nine kills each to lead the NNU attack.
Shayli Siegfreid had 28 digs,
Megan Nelson had 16 assists and
Mckenzie Lee returned from injury to add nine assists.
"We are still working on our attacking, where we need to get a bit better," English said. "Our serve receive needs to improve a bit to make the job easier for our setters. Hopefully, if we can do that, we can win a couple of matches."
NNU (1-11 overall, 1-4 GNAC) is back in action at 8 p.m. MDT on Saturday at Western Oregon.
