Box Score AZUSA, Calif. – The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team lost in three sets Saturday to host Azusa Pacific at the West Region Showcase.
The Nighthawks (0-7 overall) lost 25-23, 25-10, 25-22.
"We played another good team in APU and were a couple plays away from winning the first and third sets," NNU coach
Doug English said. "Abbey (Blum) had a great offensive match for us. We gave away some points in serve receive and that will be one of the main focuses as we head into the GNAC."
Blum had 13 kills and just three errors, finishing with a blistering .312 attacking percentage.
Brooke Foster added six kills and
Kayla Sale had four kills and 15 digs.
Megan Nelson had 14 assists and eight digs,
Mckenzie Lee had eight assists and eight digs and
Shayli Siegfreid had 10 digs.
NNU now moves into conference play, traveling to Alaska Anchorage on Thursday and Alaska on Saturday.
"We are excited to start conference play and be 0-0 and see what we can do," English said.
