PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team lost 3-0 on Saturday to No. 6 Concordia in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
Concordia (11-1-2 overall, 8-1-1 GNAC) scored in the 18th minute on a goal from Gabrielle Ewing, as the Cavaliers led just 1-0 heading into halftime. The Cavaliers struck quickly to put the game out of reach, though, as Kyra Radcliffe scored in the 49th and Ewing added her second goal in the 51st.
Chloe Sholtz made nine saves and
Sierra Sanchez had NNU's lone shot.
"We worked hard, but we didn't adjust to some second-half changes quickly enough," NNU coach
Mary Trigg said. "Our coaching staff will get better from this and our younger players got a lot of valuable minutes."
NNU (7-7-1, 3-7-0) closes out the 2018 season with two home matches, hosting Western Washington on Thursday and Simon Fraser on Saturday. Both games are at 4 p.m.
