Box Score BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team lost 2-0 to No. 18 Western Washington on Saturday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
Gabriela Pelogi scored in the 46th minute and the 69th for the Vikings (11-2-1 overall, 6-1-1 GNAC). Her first goal came just 13 seconds into the second half.
"We fought hard tonight and had a lot of young players step up," NNU coach
Mary Trigg said. "(Western) is a deep team and very organized. We have lots to build on from this game."
NNU (7-6-1, 3-6-0) had two shots on goal by
Kaisa Tsuruta and
Rikki Myers.
Chloe Sholtz made eight saves in goal for the Nighthawks.
The Nighthawks are on a bye Thursday before playing at 2 p.m. MDT on Saturday at No. 6 Concordia.
