NAMPA, Idaho — The Crusaders home openers will be at a "home away from homes" this weekend.
Because of damage created by heavy snow this winter, Elmore Vail Field on the Northwest Nazarene campus is not yet ready to host games, so Crusader alumnus Justin Schneidt stepped in to help out.
The head coach for the Vallivue High School baseball program is welcoming his former team home to the Falcons' field for NNU's weekend series against visiting Central Washington.
First pitch between the defending GNAC Champion Crusaders and the Wildcats will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 10, for the first of two doubleheaders between the teams, as NNU makes its Treasure Valley "home debut."
The series concludes with a second doubleheader between the teams schedule to start at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.
The baseball field is located behind Vallivue High School at 1407 Homedale Road in Caldwell, Idaho (83607).
