#12 Crusaders win 16th-straight at Saint Martin's

Box Score LACEY, Wash. – Kendra Bodine and Madi Farrell combined for 43 kills as the 12th-ranked Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team defeated Saint Martin's University 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 25-19 this afternoon in a conference match at Marcus Pavilion.
 
Bodine finished with a 23 kill – 20 dig double-double and Farrell had 20 kills and four blocks as the Crusaders ran their school-record winning streak to 16.  The Crusaders are now 16-0 overall and 8-0 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.
 
The winning streak in regular season matches has actually reached 19-straight, as the Crusaders won their final three matches last season prior to the NCAA West Regional Championships.
 
Hailey Cook finished with a match-high 57 assists, three kills and 14 digs and Shayli Siegfreid led the Crusader defenders with 25 digs.
 
Rebecca Mitchell and Megan Vernoy led the Saints (7-9, 2-6 GNAC) with 14 kills each and Hannah Neumann led all players with 30 digs.
 
The Crusaders are in the middle of a tough GNAC road stretch of four-straight matches away from home.  NNU will play at Central Washington on Tuesday and then travel to Billings for a Saturday match-up with the Yellowjackets.  Both matches are schedule to begin at 7:00 p.m. local times.
