Crusaders fall at #22 Simon Fraser

Box Score BURNABY, B.C. – The Northwest Nazarene University men's soccer team fell 3-1 tonight in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match against the 22nd-ranked Simon Fraser University Clan at Terry Fox Field in Burnaby.
 
SFU (6-1-2, 2-1-1 GNAC) struck first in the 18th-minute when Mamadi Camara netted an unassisted goal off a defensive turnover, finishing into the bottom right corner.
 
The Crusaders (4-5-0, 1-3-0 GNAC) evened it up just six minutes later as Raphael Junquiera scored from 10-yards away after a punch out by the SFU goalkeeper didn't clear.
 
The Clan scored the game-winner just before the break when Riley Pang poked home a shot after Adam Jones and Magnus Kristensen crossed and tipped it to him in the 43rd-minute.
 
SFU added an insurance goal in the final minute of play when Camara scored his second of the night off the feet of Connor Glennon and Kyle Jones.
 
SFU held a 6-3 advantage in shots.
 
The Crusaders will travel to Western Washington University and face the Vikings on Saturday evening.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. P.T. in Bellingham.
