NAMPA, Idaho – Hannah Holm converted an assist from Madi Taylor in the 92nd-minute to give the Northwest Nazarene University women's soccer team a 1-0 golden goal victory over Western Oregon this afternoon at the NNU Soccer Field.

Scoreless after regulation play, the Crusaders and Wolves battled into the extra period, with NNU holding a 12-9 advantage in shots and a 5-4 lead in corner opportunities.

"It wasn't our best game, but we found a way to win," commented NNU head coach Mary Trigg.  "Hannah had great composure on the game winner.  It's fun to watch the girls continue to set school records."

Trigg referring to the growing number of NCAA Division II victories this season, as the Crusaders improved to 9-5-0 overall and 6-3-0 in the GNAC.  The Crusaders have now won eight NCAA Division II matches, the most in one season in program history.

Western Oregon falls to 2-8-2 overall and 1-5-2 in league matches.

Daniele Ortiz posted four saves for the Crusaders in goal, while Caitlin Kastelic also stopped four for the Wolves.

The Crusaders will return to the pitch next Thursday at Central Washington University.  Kick off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. PT.
