#10 Crusaders streak snapped at CWU

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The 10th-ranked Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team's record-setting streak to open the season ended tonight at Central Washington, falling 16-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 8-15 to the Wildcats.

"I am proud of how we played tonight and how we started the season," commented NNU head coach Doug English.  "This loss doesn't change anything as we are trying to be the best team we can be in December.  We will keep working hard and are excited to go to MSU-Billings on Saturday."

The Crusaders are now 16-1 overall and sit in first-place in the GNAC at 8-1.

Madi Farrell led the Crusaders with 24 kills and both Mari Thomas and Kendra Bodine finished with double-doubles as Thomas had 12 kills and 26 digs while Bodine posted 16 kills and 17 digs.

Cami Heninger also reached double-figures with 11 kills.

The Crusaders will bounce back on Saturday when they face MSU-Billings at 7:00 p.m. in Billings, Mont.
