NAMPA, Idaho — The Crusaders unloaded a ton of early-season frustration Monday afternoon with an offensive explosion.
A bit out of sync the last two weeks, the Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team found its rhythm against Dominican (Calif.) at Finkbeiner Park on the NNU campus, with four different players netting a goal each in NNU's 4-1 nonconference victory.

"I told the girls before the game, after watching a lot of film of other games, it's clicking, we're just a little bit off," NNU head coach

Madi Taylor go the onslaught started, chipping home a pass from
Kaisa Tsuruta with 12 minutes, 55 seconds gone in the game, as Dominican goalkeeper Alyssa Ramos dove for the shot and partially blocked it, only to see the ball trickle into the net.
The Penguins (0-2-2 overall) managed to keep it close in the opening half and tied the game in the 28
th minute before NNU (2-3-0) finally erupted on offense.
Just 4:57 after the break,
Hannah Holm scored her first goal of the season, deflecting a shot over Ramos.
Sarah Jenkins and
Ashley Cook-Cox assisted on what proved to be the game-winner.
Tennyson Young then put home a loose ball off a
Mabinty Kanu assist in the 68
th minute, following a Crusader corner kick, and Jenkins capped the onslaught with a penalty-kick goal with 15:52 remaining on the clock.
Daniele Ortiz made five saves in goal in the win for NNU, which grabbed a ton of confidence with the victory as the Crusaders prepare for their GNAC opener on Saturday when Seattle Pacific visits at 1 p.m.
"It's just such a good game to end on before conference," Trigg said.
