NAMPA, Idaho — For the second time in a week the Crusader offense erupted, this time erasing some bitter memories.
For the second straight Saturday, the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team netted four goals, rolling past Westminster (Utah), 4-1, at Finkbeiner Park on the NNU campus.
"It's nice to bounce back after a tough game on Thursday," said NNU head coach
Joel DeLass, referring to a 2-1 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday, a game that saw the Toros score twice in the final 13 minute for the win.
"It's nice to score goals, I just wish on the other end we weren't giving up goals," NNU's coach added, "but we got the result, that's the important thing."
A goal midway through the second half ruined the shutout for the Crusaders and goalkeeper
Ryan Foo, who made five saves, but certainly didn't spoil the day one bit.

Keon Jones (1 goal)
Keon Jones ignited the rout taking in a long forward pass from
Rene Duevel, racing in behind the Westminster defense alone and booting home the first score of the NNU onslaught with 7 minutes, 10 seconds gone in the contest.
Then the Crusaders (2-1-1 overall) notched a pair of penalty-kick goals as
Rafael Junqueira blasted home a free kick in the 39
th minute, and 4 ½ minutes later redshirt-junior
Collin Raymond scored his first collegiate goal on a PK, giving NNU a 3-0 lead at the break.
The Griffins (1-2-0) got one goal back with 18:54 gone in the second half when Matthew Warne headed home a free kick by Hunter Kone, but the Crusaders answered as
Linus Mansson blasted home a rebound with 1:45 left to play after
Marshall Hartley banged a shot off the post.
A powerful offensive display by NNU for the second Saturday in a row, as the Crusaders bested Dominican (Calif.), 4-2, a week ago.
"The guys responded very well today," DeLass said.
A great turn-around for the Crusaders in the midst of a busy weekend, as NNU hosts Hawaii Hilo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday to wrap up a five-game, season-opening home-stand.
