Crusader baseball hosts Autism Awareness Day

NAMPA, Idaho - For the fourth straight year Crusader Athletics is proud to partner with A Social Place Inc. to host "Autism Awareness Day" on Saturday, April 23. 

This special event will culminate a weekend lled with fun and educational activities on the Northwest Nazarene campus, which includes a community fair in the NNU Student Center on Friday, April 22, from 9:30 am to 2 pm. Community agencies and NNU Departments will have booths providing autism education, support and volunteeropportunities at the community fair.
 

Saturday, when the Crusaders baseball team hosts Western Oregon in a battle for rst place in the Great North- west Athletic Conference, NNU will hold a special "Autism Awareness" ceremony at 12:30 pm, prior to the day's doubleheader, which starts at 1 pm.
 

Along with education information about Autism, the ceremony will be highlighted by a special " rst-pitch." Also, part of the day's admission cost for the game — $5 for adults — will go to A Social Place Inc.
