BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Northwest Nazarene's unbeaten streak took a beating Thursday night.

Host Western Washington netted a pair of second-half goals to end a seven-game unbeaten streak for the Crusaders, who fell 2-0 on the road in Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer.

"Western Washington was better than us tonight and the results show that," NNU head coach Joel DeLass said.

"We just weren't sharp enough tonight," NNU's coach added. "Western Washington made things tough on us and we didn't do the things that have gotten us success this year."

NNU (8-4-3 overall, 5-2-2 GNAC) fired nine shots in the game, but none on goal in the contest.

The Vikings (6-4-4, 3-3-3) managed 17 shots in the game and forced NNU goalkeeper Ryan Foo to make four saves, but two balls eluded the Crusader keeper.

The first came off the foot of Christian Rotter with 20 minutes, 42 seconds left in the game.

Anthony Dean then iced the win with 6:02 remaining for the host Vikings.

NNU looks to get back on track with their biggest test of the season, playing at No. 3 Simon Fraser on Saturday night at 8 p.m. (Mountain Time).
