LACEY, Wash. - The Northwest Nazarene University men's basketball team fell 80-73 in overtime tonight against Saint Martin's University in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game at Marcus Pavilion in Lacey.

Tied at 66-66 after regulation play, the Saints (8-12, 5-7 GNAC) outscored the Crusaders 14-7 in the extra period, led by Lucas Shannon, who scored six of his eight points in the overtime.

Mario Donaldson led the Crusaders with 22 points and both Grayson Moore and Michael Loomis reached double figures with 14 and 10, respectively.  NNU's Kevin Rima pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds and scored seven.

The Saints were led by Evan Coulter, who matched Donaldson with 22 points, and the 20 point, 10 rebound double-double performance of Ryan Rogers.  Tyler Copp added 17.

The Crusaders (5-14, 3-8 GNAC) led by 11 and appeared to have the game in hand after a pair of Donaldson free throws with 4:38 to play made it 60-49.

However, a Coulter jumper and a trey from Copp cut the lead to six at 60-54 (2:48) and the Saints would finish the game on a 12-5 run, capped by a pair of free throws by Brad Norman with seven seconds to play to make it 66-66.

NNU would get a good look at a game-winner with two seconds left, but Donaldson's free throw jumper fell just short to force the overtime session.

The Crusaders will now travel to Western Oregon University for a Saturday evening conference tip-off against the Wolves.  Saturday's game will be the GNAC Basketball Game of the Week and will be televised live on ROOT Sports at 6 p.m. (MT).
