NNU men’s soccer earns first NCAA Top 25 ranking

| By:
NAMPA, Idaho — Riding a seven-game win streak, the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team finds itself in a historic position: No. 22 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 NCAA Division II national poll.

The ranking is the first-ever for the Crusaders at the NCAA level.

Along with being ranked No. 22 in the nation, NNU (8-1-0 overall, 5-0-0 GNAC) also is ranked No. 3 in this week's NSCAA West Region poll behind GNAC rival Seattle Pacific and Cal Poly Pomona.

NNU is joined by Seattle Pacific (8-0-1, 5-0-0) in the national poll, as well, as the Falcons moved up from No. 7 to No. 6 in the nation this week.

Southern New Hampshire University (9-0-0) is ranked No. 1 in the nation.

The Crusaders and Falcons will square off this weekend in a Top 25 battle for the GNAC lead on Saturday night. But before that game, 22nd-ranked NNU plays at St. Martin's on Thursday.

The Crusader men's soccer team becomes the second NNU team to achieve a national Top 25 ranking this fall, joining the NNU volleyball team which has spent three weeks in the Top 25 and is currently ranked No. 18.
