LACEY, Wash. – The Northwest Nazarene University baseball team split in their final Great Northwest Athletic Conference double-header today against Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington.
The Crusaders picked up game one 7-5 but dropped the season finale 3-2.
In game one,
Tate Glasgow,
Jeremy Richardson and Skylar Souza all had three hits at the plate. Glasgow and Richardson both brought in one run in the opening game.
Nick Bland pitched six-innings for the Crusaders, earning the win and finished the season at 4-3.
In the final game of the Crusader's 2013 season, the Saints used a bottom of the seventh run to take the 3-2 victory.
Jamie Mitchell was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's in his final game as a Crusader. Richardson and
Charlie Gorzo both had two hits in today's second game.
Tyler Marsh pitched the complete game for NNU giving up only four hits on the day.
The Crusaders finish the year 21-28 overall and 12-20 in GNAC action.
