BILLINGS, Mont. – The Northwest Nazarene baseball team earned a pair of wins today against the Yellow Jackets of Montana State University Billings at Dehler Park. The Crusaders came out on top 4-2 in game one and 7-5 in the final game of the series.
Both teams were tied at two after three innings of play. In the fourth inning after a double by

Skyler Souza hit a single to center field to bring Cook home for the Crusaders' third run. In the seventh inning
Jamie Mitchell hit a single to right field to bring in
Kaleb DeHaas for the Crusader fourth and final run. NNU held on to the lead to win game three of the four game series in Billings.
Skyler Souza led the Crusaders at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Dehaas and Cook both went 2 for 4.
Aaron Vaughn earned his third win on the mound, improving to 3-3 on the year.
In game two, the scheduled seven inning game went into extra innings after the teams were tied 4-4. In the top of the eighth inning the Crusaders would score three runs to go on top 7-4. The Yellow Jackets would get one run in the bottom of the inning.
Jon Matos earned the save and the Crusaders improved to (10-15, 4-8 GNAC).
Greg Hata went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's for NNU.Matos was 2 for 4 from the plate with 1 RBI.
The Crusaders will have the upcoming weekend off and return to GNAC play March 29
th in Nampa, Idaho when they host Saint Martin's University at Vail Field.
