CHICO, Calif. - Fifth-ranked Chico State defeated Northwest Nazarene 13-0 this afternoon in the final game of a four-game NCAA Division II West Region series at Nettleton Stadium in Chico.
 
The Wildcats Nick Baker surrendered only two hits in six innings to earn the pitching win and improve to 2-0 on the season.  Fernando Robles (1-1) took the loss for NNU as Robles and Jamie Mitchell each recorded hits for the Crusaders.
 
Chico State improves to 11-1 overall, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Crusaders in yesterday's twinbill.
 
The Crusaders (6-7) will return to Nampa after a nine-game road trip and host Central Washington on March 1st and 2nd to open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.  Next Friday's doubleheader will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Vail Field in Nampa.  Saturday's action will begin at Noon.
