CHICO, Calif. – Nationally ranked No. 5 Chico State University defeated Northwest Nazarene University 13-3 in today's baseball action held at Nettleton Stadium in Chico, California.
 
The Wildcats of Chico State improve to a perfect 9-0 on the season.
 
Charlie Gorzo led the Crusaders at the plate going 3 for 5 with 1 RBI. Jon Matos was 2 for 3 with an RBI for NNU. 
 
Jon Peters led Chico State at the plate going 3 for 4 and tallying for 4 RBI's. Kagen Hopkins earns his second win on the mound for the Wildcats.
 
Jeremy Burk (0-2) receives the loss on the mound for the Crusaders.
 
Both teams will be back in action tomorrow for a double-header beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Nettleton Stadium in Chico, California.
