NAMPA, Idaho – The Northwest Nazarene University men's basketball team fell 74-55 to the Nanooks of Alaska Fairbanks in tonight's Great Northwest Athletic Conference action.

Dave Daniels, “however I was a little upset with our effort and focus in the first half.”
The Crusaders (8-4 overall, 2-2 GNAC) found themselves down 37-18 headed into the locker room at halftime. The Nanooks were 13 of 28 from the field in the first 20 minutes of action.
Kenny Jones led the Crusaders with 16 points.
Kevin Rima had 15 points and 4 rebounds while
Jonathan Hawkins chipped in 11 points and dished out 4 assists.
“I was pleased with the way we bounced back and competed in the second half,” added Daniels, “I believe this is a good learning experience moving forward.”
Dominique Brinson had 19 points to lead the Nanooks going 6 for 6 from the foul line. Sergej Puca had 13 points and 7 rebounds for Fairbanks and Ronnie Baker added 12 points.
The Crusaders were 21 of 47 (44.7-percent) from the floor and 12 of 20 (60-percent) from the foul line. The Nanooks were 26 of 58 (44.8-percent) from the field and 17 of 21 (81.0-percent) from the charity stripe.
NNU will be back in action next Thursday at 7:00 p.m. as they travel to Burnaby, BC to face the Clan of Simon Fraser University.
