NAMPA, Idaho – The Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team fell in their home opener to Western Washington University in three games tonight 15-25, 25-27, 18-25.
The Crusaders were led by
Kaitlyn Tuholski as she had 11 kills and 12 digs. Setter
Michelle Terpstra had 30 assists.
Linnea Phillips had 17 digs for NNU.
The Vikings were led by Marlayna Geary's 16 kills. Kayla Erickson had 14 kills of her own on the night. Laurie Yearout had a match high 43 assists. Samantha Hutchinson had 18 digs for the Vikings.
NNU drops to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in GNAC play. WWU now goes to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in conference action.
The Crusaders will be back to home action Saturday as they host Simon Fraser University at 7 p.m. in Nampa, Idaho.
