NAMPA, Idaho - The 19th-ranked nationally Western Oregon University baseball team used solid pitching to defeat Northwest Nazarene this evening at Vail Field, winning game one 9-0 and taking the nightcap 10-2 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The league-leading Wolves (26-7, 15-1 GNAC) received another quality performance from game one starter Grady Wood.  The reigning GNAC Pitcher of the Year surrendered just two hits in seven innings to improve to 9-0 on the season and win his 17th-straight start, dating back to March of 2011.

Game two starter Travis Bradshaw improved to 7-1 on the season, allowing four NNU hits and two runs.

The Crusaders Zeb Sneed (5-4) took the opening game loss and Charles Pollock (4-3) fell in game two.

WOU's Blake Miller led all players at the plate, going 5 for 7 with four RBI's and Bo Folkinga finished 3 for 7 with a pair of home runs, a first-inning two-run shot in game one and a three-run job in the fifth inning of game two.

NNU's Sean McDonald and Logan Parker each had two hits on the day and both Zach Steele and Derek Bettinson plated RBI's in game two for the Crusaders.

The Crusaders are now 18-15 overall and 7-9 in conference play.

The teams will return for another twinbill tomorrow at Noon.
