NAMPA, Idaho - College of Idaho's Zach Fabricius and Chad Yeggy combined to toss a four-hitter at the Crusaders as the Coyotes defeated Northwest Nazarene 5-1 this afternoon in a non-conference game at Elmore Vail Field on the NNU campus.

Fabricius (3-0) surrendered just four hits in eight innings, struck out six and did not issue a walk.  Yeggy closed out the ninth for the Coyotes, who improve to 13-4 overall.

NNU's Aaron Vaughn (1-1) took the loss, giving up one run both the first and third innings.  The Crusaders fall to 10-4 overall.

Tyler Andazola finished 3 for 5 for The C of I and Izaac Garsez was 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI's, both coming on singles in the first and third innings. 

C of I's Cameron Packham picked up two RBI's with a ninth-inning double and Andazola plated his RBI with a ninth-inning single up the middle.

Zach Steele produced the Crusaders tally with his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot in the eighth.

Having just returned from a nine-game road trip to Northern California on Sunday morning, the Crusaders used eight pitchers in this afternoon's game.

The Crusaders and Coyotes, who played today for the first time since 2007, will face off again in Caldwell next Tuesday, March 6th.
