NAMPA, Idaho – The Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team fell to #25 Central Washington University in a five-set GNAC match tonight in Nampa, Idaho.
In tonight's match the Wildcats came out on top in a five very close sets (25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 9-15).
Michelle Terpstra recorded her second triple-double in the last two matches. Terpstra had 52 assists 13 digs and 10 kills to lead the Crusaders.
Becky Flores had 14 kills with a hitting percentage of .324.
Linnea Phillips had a match-high 31 digs.
“Michelle had another great performance for us,” commented head coach Jared Sliger. “Unfortunately we couldn't finish. Credit to Central Washington, they are a solid team.”
Catie Fry led the Wildcats as she had a match-high 54 assists. Marcy Hjellum had 21 kills for CWU.
The Crusaders fall to 9-8 overall and 2-5 in GNAC action. The Wildcats jump to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
NNU will be back in action next Tuesday as they travel to LaGrande, Oregon to take on the Eastern Oregon University at 7:00 p.m.
