Crusaders fall 3-2 at Simon Fraser

BURNABY, BC – The Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team lost 2-3 in a five-set match to Simon Fraser University in tonight's Great Northwest Athletic Conference match.
 
The Crusaders fell 20-25, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23, 11-15.
 
NNU was led by sophomore setter Michelle Terpstra. Terpstra had team-high 14 kills 36 assists while also adding 7 digs. Linnea Phillips had 18 digs while Kaitlyn Tuholski had 13 kills and 12 digs.
 
Jessica Young led the Clan of SFU with 17 kills and 12 digs. Tamara Nipp had a match-high 54 assists while also adding 16 digs.
 
NNU drops to 10-11 overall and 3-7 in GNAC play. SFU jumps to 4-13 overall and 1-9 in conference action.
 
The Crusaders will now travel to Bellingham, Washington as they face Western Washington University on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
