ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Carson McKole scored two goals for Central Washington University to help down the Crusader women's soccer team 2-0 in today's Great Northwest Athletic Conference soccer match.

In the 31st minute of play McKole scored her sixth goal of the season. Hadi Farrand passed to McKole as she was able to beat Tanya Zickefoose one on one.

CWU out-shot the Crusaders 7-5 in the first period.

Twelve minutes into the second half McKole was able to net her seventh goal of the season and get the Wildcats up 2-0. Reilly Retz crossed a ball and was able to find McKole three yards out to score CWU's second goal of the game.

Neither team would score with the remaining time of play. Both teams had eight shots in the second period. Tanya Zickefoose recorded two saves while freshman Argia Phillips came in with 32 minutes of play left and had four saves of her own.

"I thought we were a little unlucky in front of goal today but full credit to CWU for playing their formation well and making life difficult for us." commented head coach Jamie Lindvall. "We're looking forward to being at home for our first whole week in a month."

NNU drops to 6-8-0 overall and 3-7-0 in GNAC play. CWU jumps to 4-8-2 overall and 3-6-1 in conference action. The Crusaders will return to Nampa for their last home-stand of the 2012 season as they face Simon Fraser University on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Nampa, Idaho.
