LACEY, Wash. – The Northwest Nazarene University men's soccer team kept their winning streak alive after a 2-1 double-overtime victory against Saint Martin's University in today's GNAC soccer match in Olympia, Washington.
NNU extended their winning streak to five games after the Great Northwest Athletic Conference battle. The Crusaders had seven shots in the first half while the Saints had 10. Neither team was able to convert in the first period.

John DiLulo netted his second goal of the season. DiLulo received a through ball from Patrick Weston and was successful on his shot from 10 yards out as he scored from the right side sending the ball to the far post.
Eight-minutes later Cj Chu scored from twenty-yards out to get the Saints on the board and tie the game 1-1.
Neither team would score with the remaining time. In the first overtime the Crusaders had 2 shots that were unsuccessful, which would force a second overtime.
Three minutes into double-overtime
Chris Voth was able to get his foot on a loose ball and net in the game-wining goal to lift the Crusaders past the Saints 2-1.
“Today was a lesson in not burying games when you should,” commented head coach
Coe Michaelson. “With that said, Johnny (DiLulo) was just fantastic today and that was the second huge goal Chris (Voth) has gotten us.”
NNU out-shot SMU 18-15.
Alfredo Ontiveros had five saves while JJ Olsen had four saves for the Saints.
John DiLulo had four shots with three of them on target.
“In the end, full credit to the guys for recovering from the shellshock of their late goal and finishing it off.” Said Michaelson.
The Crusaders now go to 7-2-3 overall and 6-0-2 in GNAC play. The Saints fall to 2-10 overall and 1-7 in conference action.
NNU will face NSCAA #9 Seattle Pacific on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Seattle, Washington.
