NAMPA, Idaho - Antoine Proctor and Jaxon Myaer help lead Montana State University Billings to a 94-75 win over Northwest Nazarene University tonight in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference matchup at the Johnson Sports Center in Nampa.
Proctor led the Yellowjackets in the first half with 5 of 10 shooting from beyond the arc and had 22 points at the half-time break. Fellow senior transfer Jaxon Myaer added twelve of his own in the opening period as the 'Jackets led 48-35.
Proctor would finish with a game-high 30 point, while Myaer netted 25.
The Crusaders were led by John Hawkins with 16 points, the junior transfer was also perfect from the charity stripe shooting 10 of 10 on the night. Junior JB Pillard, after only having two points in the first half, finished the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Yellowjackets shot 50.8-percent from the field on 33 of 65 shooting while also making 12 of 27 (44.4%) from beyond the arc. The Crusaders were 8 of 25 (32.0-percent) from the three-point line and 25 of 63 (39.7-percent) overall.
The Crusaders fell to 2-4 in GNAC action and 8-6 overall. The Yellowjackets improved to 4-3 in GNAC play and 9-6 overall.
The Crusaders will host Seattle Pacific on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Sports Center. The Falcons are currently fourth in the GNAC standings at 13-3 overall and 5-3 in league action.
