NAMPA, Idaho - The Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team fell 3-1 against  Cal Baptist on Thursday afternoon in an NCAA Division II West Region  non-conference match at the NNU Soccer Field.
 
 
Cal Baptist, an NCAA Division II member of the Pacific West Conference,  took a 1-0 lead into the locker room, having scored the opening goal in the  41st-minute when Kimberly Allard netted the first of her two goals in the  match.  Allard's unassisted counter was a product of her own shot that was  blocked by NNU goalkeeper 
Tanya Zickefoose, but then Allard followed and scored  the deflection from 10-yards away.
 
The Lancers (2-1-0) added two more early in the second half as Fabiola da  Silva scored her first goal of the season, an unassisted shot from the left side  at 10-yards in the 47th-minute and Allards second goal off a crossing pass from  Mikala Gillis in the 51st-minute.
 
The Crusaders (1-2-0) 
Jenny Field put NNU on the board in the 64th-minute,  finishing a 6-yard deflection off CBU goalkeeper Nicoline Jorgensen.  
Sarah Staropoli earned an assist, having fired the shot on goal that deflected off  Jorgensen and found Field.
 
Jorgensen stopped five for the Lancers, while Zickefoose fell just two  saves short of a GNAC record with 16 saves in the match.
 
CBU held a 27-7 shot advantage and 5-0 corner kick lead.
 
NNU will return to action on Saturday, hosting Trinity Lutheran University  at Noon.
