HONOLULU - The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team fell 3-1 to 24th-ranked UC San Diego this morning at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Invitational.  The Crusaders then faced host Hawaii Pacific University, falling 3-1 in the late match of the evening.



UCSD (3-0) was led by Hillary Williamson with a match-high 20 kills and Katie Condon and Lauren Demos each reached double-figures with 16 and 12, respectively.  The UCSD defense tallied 71 digs, led by Janessa Werhane's 18.



The Crusaders (2-1) were paced by Haley Abbott with 10 kills and Kailey Trautmann's 15 digs.


Against HPU, Reisa Fessler led the Crusdaers with 12 kills and Kaitlyn Tuholski added 11 as NNU fell 20-25, 27-25, 20-25 and 17-25.
